For 10 years, José Henrique Figueiredo Cortes dedicated himself to the manual execution of his traditional nativity scene. Starting in 2011, year after year, it has been receiving additions with new figures and scenes representative of an experience that he wanted to remember and make known to the younger generations.

There are 275 characters, 368 animal figures, 38 houses, among many buildings and activities, some of which have already disappeared. All this complemented with ingenious and complex mechanisms that give movement, light and water to the figures and scenes represented. Visiting this nativity scene is already a ritual of the Christmas festivities in Lagos.
