The Festa do Panelo is one of the oldest traditions in Seixal, a parish located in the municipality of Porto Moniz, in Madeira, a social gathering experienced with great expression by the residents of this locality, and takes place on the last weekend of January.

This popular initiative takes place in Chão da Ribeira, early in the morning of the last Sunday of January, when families gather to prepare and taste the "panelo", a dish made from vegetables and sausages, very similar to the Cozido à Portuguesa.
