This is Mauro Cerqueira's first monographic exhibition in a museum in Portugal. This exhibition to be inaugurated at the CIAJG, curated by João Terras, has as its central axis the artist's latest works, the result of two consecutive trips to Morocco. The first one meeting figures such as Jean Genet and Muhammad Chukri, and the second one inside the Middle Atlas meeting Amazigh nomadic musicians.

This journey results in two films and ten songs that appear within the exhibition. In dialogue with these last productions, there are works made at the beginning of his career. With painting, video and sound, the exhibition's cartography focuses on the universes of poetry and the condition of being on a journey, as fundamental places for a new reading of history and territories.
