Events
The exhibition Painting-Poetry: Livres d'artiste by Joan Miró, organized by the Serralves Foundation - Museum of Contemporary Art, and curated by Robert Lubar Messeri, will be on display at Casa de Serralves, in Porto, until June 1.
This exhibition brings together important books illustrated by Joan Miro, such as "Il était une petite pie" from 1928, "Parler Seoul" from 1948-50, and "Mà de Proverbis" from 1970, which demonstrate Joan Miró's evolution as a graphic artist, as well as his close relationship with poets and his enduring interest in the text/image relationship in painting and his graphic work. The livres d'artiste will be presented in dialogue with other works from the Miró Collection of the Portuguese State.
