The Broodthaers Society of America was founded in 2015 by American artist Joe Scanlan, dedicated to analyzing the influences and resonances that Marcel Broodthaers' work has in the political and cultural context of the United States.

In addition to promoting exhibitions and events related to the life and work of the Belgian artist, the Broodthaers Society of America has an archive of publications and artist's books that Broodthaers produced throughout his life, many of them rare. Curated by founder and artist Joe Scanlan, BSA has brought to this exhibition the complete archive of publications and printed materials from its collection.
