In this solidarity concert in favor of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, the program celebrates the exciting musical tradition of American adventure cinema. The Symphony Orchestra performs classic soundtracks by Stephen Warbeck, Alan Silvestri and the unavoidable John Williams, doyen of Hollywood composers.

Films cherished by kids and adults will be remembered – from Superman to Harry Potter, passing through E. T., Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones or Forrest Gump. The musical direction is in charge of Katharina Morin, a promising young German conductor who, this season, in addition to performing in front of the most diverse European audiences, will be assistant orchestral director of the Orchestre de Paris and the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe.
