A prodigious melodic inspiration and an enormous dramatic vigor made "L'elisir d'amore" one of the most beloved operas ever. Profoundly romantic in the gesture of elevating a group of poor peasants to almost the main character, the work handles with great effectiveness figures and situations of the opera "buffa" of the eighteenth century.

A central character is the peasant Nemorino who, in love with Adina and deeming her unreachable, resorts to the services of the charlatan Dulcamara, inventor of a miraculous elixir (rich in alcohol) that allows him to win hearts. This is a work by Gaetano Donizetti with a libretto by Felice Romani.
