The Big Band of Nazaré and João Afonso present the unprecedented concert Abril no Jazz, with free admission to Cine Granadeiro. Organized by the Municipality of Grândola and the Sociedade Musical Fraternidade Operária Grandolense, this show was designed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 25th of April and also the 25th anniversary of the Big Band of Nazaré. You can listen to themes by Zeca Afonso, José Mário Branco and Fausto, with specific arrangements created for the Jazz Orchestra, by composers of recognized merit in the artistic environment linked to jazz.

The Big Band of Nazaré was born in 1999 and presents a classic formation, having already recorded six CDs. For this concert they invited the singer João Afonso, due to his family affinity with Zeca Afonso, for his artistic qualities and similar vocal characteristics.
