The "Capital of Camellias", Celorico de Basto, celebrates its flower again with the International Camellia Festival, between the 14th and 16th of March. In the year in which it celebrates its 20th edition, the International Camellia Festival once again highlights the cultural and symbolic importance of the flower in the municipality of Celorico de Basto.

The event offers a vast program, with initiatives such as the preparation and placement of tables, murals, scarecrows, the camellia market, the exhibition of camellia derivatives and gastronomic products, the camellia-themed parade through the streets of the village, the camellia walk and the fashion show to elect the queen and princess of the camellias.
