Between April 30th and May 3rd, the Maia International Film Festival is back at the Maia Forum. In its second edition, this event once again transforms the city of Maia into the epicenter of international cinema. After receiving about 120 proposals from various countries in an Open Call that closed in January, 10 films were selected. In addition to the films in competition, four guest films will be screened and guest directors will be present, such as Algimantas Puipa and Margarida Cardoso.

The Festival is promoted by the Municipality of Maia and aims to present a diverse selection of cinematographic works by filmmakers from all over the world, with varied categories such as fiction feature films, documentaries and animations. The younger ones will not be forgotten, and there is a special session for children.
