On Easter Sunday, the floors of São Brás de Alportel, a town in the eastern Algarve, is filled with flowers in a unique display.

With the Procession of the Resurrection as the highlight of the festival, the town dresses up for the festivities: fully decked out, the balconies are decorated with beautiful quilts, because it's a festive day! Largo de São Sebastião is decorated with floral carpets and a display of Easter flavors from local producers. In the afternoon, the Churchyard hosts a gathering of sounds and flavors, where you can watch popular music shows and buy regional sweets and snacks, including the typical São Brás almonds.
