Events

The July Festival animates Calheta, on the island of São Jorge, in the Azores, with an annual festival that takes place, as the name suggests, in July. This festival celebrates local culture with lots of music and entertainment, including drawing, photography and living statue competitions.

The highlight is the concerts, which this year feature names such as David Fonseca, Némanus, Wet Bed Gang, The Gift and Gavin James, as well as some local artists and late-night entertainment in the Electronic Tent with DJs.
