The São Pedro Popular Festivities, one of the most traditional celebrations in the municipality of Montijo, are back from June 26 to July 2.
Held annually in honor of the fishing community's patron saint, the grandiose São Pedro Popular Festivities are a mixture of animation, color, music, dance and lots of joy, a celebration of local culture and traditions. The program is varied, with highlights including river and night processions, the blessing of the fishermen, the burning of the barge, bullfights, parades, festivals and concerts.
