The 1st edition of the ARS Guitar Festival – Monção International Classical Guitar and Chamber Music Festival will take place between June 15 and 18, 2025, in various venues in Monção.

The program will include competitions, recitals, workshops, conferences and master classes, providing a platform for the promotion of the guitar as a solo instrument. The festival will feature artists such as Joaquin Clerch – guitarist, composer and principal lecturer at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf – and Junior Cesar Sarracent, Cuban guitarist and lecturer at the same institution. There will also be an exhibition of historical instruments, including traditional classical guitars, a double top classical guitar, a vihuela, a renaissance guitar and a flamenco guitar.
