Events

For almost 500 years, Portalegre has been celebrating its elevation to city status, which took place in 1550. In 2025 the dates for these celebrations take place over the weekend of May 22 to 25, where there will be various events and activities, making this one of the biggest festivals in the Alto Alentejo, with concerts, handicrafts, gastronomy and lots of socializing.

The music will be provided by some of the best names on the Portuguese scene and local projects. There will also be official ceremonies, parades, sports and various shows, which will bring together hundreds of people from all over the region.
