A new edition of the Coimbra Medieval Fair will once again invade the city's historic quarter in July.

The theme "The Reign of the Almost Perfect Couple: Dom Dinis and Santa Isabel" marks the 700th anniversary of Queen Santa Isabel's pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, the death of King Dinis and the 400th anniversary of the canonization of Coimbra's patron saint. With the usual historical accuracy, you'll be able to stroll through taverns, sell products, recreate trades and experiences, and enjoy a variety of entertainment, all with flesh and blood characters. It's three days of festivities that will take you on a real journey back in time!
