It's in August that Coruche celebrates one of its great summer festivities: the Festivities in Honor of Our Lady of the Castle.

This is a highlight on the local agenda and also marks a reunion of the local people, who join in the celebrations in devotion to the patron saint of Coruche. Every year, thousands of visitors have the opportunity to taste the delicious Ribatejo cuisine, enjoy the procession, as well as the historical and ethnographic parade and see the traditional fireworks and concerts. The bullfighting entertainment in the streets of the historic center and the varied initiatives add to this festival, a showcase of the territory and local culture.
