Grupo Niche is one of the most important salsa orchestras in Latin America, with a career marked by successes and innovations in the genre. Founded in 1979 by the talented composer Jairo Varela Martínez, the group was born in Bogotá, but consolidated its musical identity in the city of Cali, recognized as the salsa capital of Colombia. With sophisticated brass arrangements, vibrant Afro-Caribbean rhythms and engaging lyrics, Grupo Niche has won over audiences with timeless hits such as "Cali Pachanguero" and "Una Aventura".

Their discography has influenced generations and crossed borders. In 2023, the group released "Niche Sinfónico", a grandiose project recorded in partnership with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, which was critically acclaimed and awarded Best Salsa Album at the Latin Grammys. Four decades after its creation, Grupo Niche continues to be a top reference in the salsa scene, keeping the Afro-Colombian cultural heritage alive and reinventing its music with boldness and artistic excellence.
