In August, Alcobaça celebrates with the traditional São Bernardo Fair.

This is one of the city's biggest festivities and its program is extensive and eclectic. In addition to the much-anticipated concerts, always featuring popular names from the Portuguese music scene, there is a showcase of economic activities, performances by folk bands and traditional taverns with the best of the region's gastronomy. There's also fun for all the family with activities for the little ones and carousels, handicrafts, street sales, among many other offerings, in what is already an annual meeting point for several generations.
