She is one of the great voices of Fado and one of the Portuguese artists with the greatest international projection. Her debut album - "Fado" - went platinum in Portugal and was considered by British magazine Songlines to be the best album of 2011. In March 2023 she released her latest album, "Portuguesa", the sixth of her career, with 14 songs that include lyrics of her own, as well as compositions of new melodies for traditional fados. With this album she began an extensive tour of Europe, Brazil, the USA and Canada and was nominated for a Latin Grammy in the category of Best Portuguese Language Roots Album.

In the same year, she performed "Estrela", an original composition of hers, for Pope Francis at the World Youth Days, sang a version of "O Quarto", accompanied by the Portuguese guitar, in the award-winning film "Poor Things", by Yorgos Lanthimos, and performed Fado Coimbra at a Coldplay concert in Portugal. She also took part in the tour of the huge Caetano Veloso, who wrote the duet "Você-Você" for Carminho.
