Events

One of the biggest pilgrimages in the region returns to Gouveia in August. There will be no shortage of religious worship, tradition, culture, music and entertainment, in a unique event for those visiting the city and a meeting point and return to the origins for all the locals.

The festival, which is partly dedicated to cultural roots and identity, includes the International Folklore Festival, as well as sport with the Gouveia Super Special Rally, a city race that brings together countless four-wheeled enthusiasts. The event's program also includes a wide range of parallel activities, including handicrafts, gastronomy, local shops, Philharmonic Bands and the event's main attraction, the concerts that bring some of the most iconic names in Portuguese music to the stage.
