Events

Books continue to be an essential tool for artists and are spaces where knowledge, reflection and transformation intersect. Regardless of the format, each book has a poetic dimension, visible in both its structure and materiality.

In this exhibition, different artists, driven by their own concerns, come together in a common gesture of resistance through creation. The starting point is The Rain, a poetic film by Marcel Broodthaers, and it is in this spirit that the Serralves Library presents works by BlackMass Publishing, Bread and Puppet Theater, Marcel Broodthaers, Carla Filipe, Sébastien de Ganay, Ryan Gander, Stefan Marx, Annika Ström, Martine Syms, Nora Turato and Kandis - a diverse group of voices that reaffirm the book as a space for freedom and action.
