From September 26 to November 16, 2025, the Medieval Tower will host the exhibition "Clay Figurines in Three Tones", by the artist Conceição Messias. The exhibition presents three aspects of her work: Figurado de Barcelos, a certified production that values tradition; figurado in terra cotta, with or without a face, which reveals a freer and more expressive dimension; and glazed figurado, which adds color, brightness and originality. This free exhibition offers the public the chance to get to know Conceição Messias' creative wealth and to come into contact with different interpretations of figuration, bringing together tradition and contemporaneity.
