Inaugurated on September 6 at the Galeria de São Sebastião, the painting exhibition ""Portalegre – Património e Memória", by Álvaro Mendes, can be visited until November 30, 2025. In this fourth exhibition in the city, the artist maintains heritage as the central theme of his work, which is widely recognized and appreciated by the people of Portalegre. The paintings reveal a deep connection to local identity, depicting emblematic monuments such as the Cathedral, the Church of Penha, the Church of Bonfim, the Town Hall and the College of São Sebastião, as well as urban silhouettes and references to traditional arts and crafts.
