This is Cinthia Marcelle's first solo exhibition in Portugal, created especially for the central room of the Serralves Museum. Recognized for her critique of systems of power and social norms, the Brazilian artist has received distinctions such as the Honorable Mention at the 57th Venice Biennale. Inspired by the counter-colonial thinking of Nêgo Bispo, Marcelle questions the linearity of time and its links to colonial structures. The installation transforms the museum's modernist space into a cyclical environment, evoking ancestry and collective knowledge. The project is the result of a year-long collaboration with the vão collective and the Serralves team.
