The "Exaltar" exhibition, the fourth season of the "Places of the Sacred" cycle, is on display at the Church of Santa Cruz in Praia da Vitória. As part of the celebrations for the National Day of the Church's Cultural Assets and the 45th anniversary of the Church's classification as a Property of Public Interest, it offers an interpretive look at the local religious cultural heritage. The exhibition features around 150 items, including sculpture, paintings, carvings, tiles and liturgical implements, exploring the history of the church from its origins in 1460 to the earthquake of 1980, and highlighting the architectural and artistic evolution of the building.
