The Snow Queen
The Snow Queen
Events
In this concert, two giants of European art cross paths: Piotr Ilitch Tchaikovsky and Hans Christian Andersen. To mark the 150th anniversary of the Danish author's death, the tale "The Snow Queen" is told to the sound of the delicate pieces from Tchaikovsky's "Album for Children, op. 39". These pieces were composed in 1878 and dedicated to his nephew Vladimir Davydov.
This is a concert for all ages, where music and storytelling come together in a tale of friendship, courage and hope. Between words and notes, the show follows Gerda's courageous journey in search of her friend Kai, lost in the Snow Queen's icy kingdom.
