Between the Stones and the Moss, Francisco's Nativity Scene
Between the Stones and the Moss, Francisco's Nativity Scene
Events
This exhibition celebrates nature, biodiversity and spirituality in a true world tour. This collection of fifty nativity scenes made from plants and trees from various regions of the world was made at the invitation of Professor Luís Mendonça de Carvalho, holder of the UNESCO Chair in Ethnobotany at the Polytechnic Institute of Beja.
More than an ethnobotanical exhibition, it is an aesthetic and contemplative experience, as well as a celebration of biodiversity and multiculturalism. The exhibition also includes a parallel activity that invites families to get into the Christmas spirit and build a sustainable nativity scene, while helping to support the reforestation of the Serra de Sintra.
