Rio de Janeiro artist Dora Morelenbaum presents her debut album Pique (2024), a sophisticated fusion of MPB, jazz, soul and R&B. Daughter of musicians Paula and Jaques Morelenbaum, Dora built her identity in the collective Bala Desejo, winner of the 2022 Latin Grammy with Sim Sim Sim. In Pique, co-produced by Ana Frango Elétrico and nominated for the 2024 Latin Grammy for Best Brazilian Popular Music Album, the singer combines family heritage and influences from Ryuichi Sakamoto and Milton Nascimento, resulting in a work praised by critics as creative, luxurious and surprisingly pop.
