In this concert, with musical direction by Rita Castro Blanco and commentary by Susana Henriques, the Portuguese Symphonic Band performs the enchanting story of Alex, a boy looking for a present to give his father for his birthday. Alex is transported to a magical world, where he discovers an old theater inhabited by living instruments, but no musicians. When he wakes up, he finds an old flute in his pajama pocket: the ideal present.
