Solo jazz piano is a rare territory of artistic intimacy, where musician, instrument and stage are exposed unfiltered to the public.

Mário Laginha is one of the most experienced Portuguese pianists in this demanding register. After many solo concerts, he released the album Canções e Fugas in 2006. In this recital, he presents Retorno, the second album recorded in this format. The creations were born during the recording and reflect echoes of recent collaborations with Camané, a master of intimacy. It's a long-awaited return, multiple and symbolic, to a room that he knows deeply for its dialog between silence, memory, risk, emotion and musical freedom.
