Events
The Interspecies exhibition brings together historical and contemporary evidence of the human desire to understand, connect with, and live with other species.
Curated by Mariana Pestana, the exhibition addresses listening instruments, spaces for cohabitation or decentralized governance mechanisms, exploring the ways in which European society has been materializing more-than-human realities. At a time characterized by the philosophy of posthumanism and a climate crisis, the exhibition evokes the spirit of the Romantic period, which celebrated the importance of subjectivity and imagination, developing a new appreciation for nature in response to the philosophy of the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution.
