Between the 8th and 9th of March 2025, another edition of the Serra da Estrela Cheese Festival arrives in the center of the city of Oliveira do Hospital, with a strong focus on the internationalization of the event, especially in terms of the Iberian market.

The event, which aims to reaffirm itself as the main tourist attraction of the central region, has as king of the party what is considered one of the best cheeses in the world – the Serra da Estrela PDO Cheese –, and expects the participation of hundreds of exhibitors of endogenous products, sausages, Dão wines, honey, handicrafts and lots of gastronomy. There will be several initiatives that the thousands of expected visitors will find around the festival grounds, with special emphasis on cheese and Dão wine tastings, live shearing and cheese making, or animal exhibition.
