From April 11 to 13, 2025, the Devesas Altas Multipurpose Pavilion will once again host the Peeled Kid and Callum Wine Festival, two products that are exclusive ambassadors of Oleiros' gastronomy.
The "cabrito estonado" (peeled baby goat) is a local delicacy: the meat is roasted in a wood oven, with the skin on, and is served preferably with a local wine, made from Callum, an indigenous grape variety that produces a very light, low-alcohol white wine. These are traditional specialties that are unique to Oleiros and have been eaten since ancient times on festival days. At the event there will be exhibitors selling local products, handicrafts and a tavern with unique tasting proposals based on roast kid.
