The Vinhais Smoked Meat Fair, which has been held in this village since 1981, takes place in 2025 between the 6th and 9th of February.
Vinhais is known as the capital of smoked meat, due to the great quality of this product, a quality that is justified by the climate of the region, the raw material and the seasoning, different from the seasonings of other regions, since it is made in garlic vines, with water, wine, garlic, salt and bay leaf. The smoked meat is made with Bísaro pork, an autochthonous and protected breed, which is the king of this festival.
In addition to the exhibition and sale of products, this fair offers a wide program of activities.
